RESOLUTION NO. 6093
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING
CONSTRUCTION OF GROUND-MOUNTED DECORATIVE STATUARY.
SECTION I: P ROJECT DESCRIPTION

Property Owner: St. Andrew Armenian Church
Location: 11370 S. Stelling Road
SECTION II: FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Cupertino received an application to
construct decorative statuary as described in this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the changes are beneficial and compatible with
the surrounding area; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has met the burden of proof required to support said application; and
has satisfied the following requirements:
1) The proposed sculpture is "decorative statuary' placed solely for aesthetic purposes and not
to promote any product or service;
2) The sculpture is designed as an integral part of the site design and theme of the use; and
3) The sculpture is consistent with the overall architectural scheme and the sign program for
the church.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That after careful consideration of maps, facts, exhibits, testimony and other evidence submitted
in this matter, the Director's Approval Of A Minor Modification to Use permit 25-U-86 and
Architectural and Site Approval ASAC 25-U-86, to construct a ground-mounted decorative
statuary is hereby approved; and
That the subconclusions upon which the findings and conditions specified in this Resolution are
based and contained in the Public Hearing record concerning Application 06-DIR-01, as set forth
in the Minutes of the Planning Commission Meeting of June 25, 2001, are incorporated by
reference herein.
SECTION III: CONDITIONS ADMINISTERED BY THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPT
1. APPROVED EXHIBITS
Approval is based on Exhibits labeled, and entitled "06-DIR-01" dated June 25, 2001
including: Plan Set and letter dated April 9, 2001, except as may be amended by conditions
in this resolution.
i 2. TEMPORARY SIGN PERMIT FOR BANNER SIGN
� The applicant shall remove the existing banner sign above the entrance of the church and
install it after a temporary sign permit to has been granted pursuant to Chapter 17.32.090 of
( the Sign Code.
