Hi Santosh,
Thank you for letting us know about the Library Commission email address. I reached out to IT and they have fixed the
problem. The Library Commissioners are bcc’d as well.
Warmly,

Hello,
I would like to report the following challenges with the library:
1. Please keep the library open till 9pm on Saturday and Sunday. These are the days the community can
fully utilize the library. It should not be closed early on these days.
2. Please enforce quiet rules at the library. People show up and speak really loudly or leave their kids
running around or creating extreme noise. Please evict unruly noisy people from the library.
3. Ban the homeless from occupying the library and restrooms. This is a major hygiene risk. Please
ensure library is used to read and not just camp out inside for the homeless.
4. Book returns are unreliable when done at other libraries. Please inter connect your system so that
book returns at a different library are reflected. Patrons should not have to come in and inform you
which library they returned a book at. This is an issue since residents do use multiple libraries in the
area. It should be something you expect not something to be surprised by. Book returns are not
reflected.
5. Please provide an option for receipt by email on book return similar to book borrow workflow.
6. Please keep more terminals open for boring ajd returning books.
7. Restrooms are frequently out of paper.
8. Please make library private room entry self service rather than a librarian having to come by to open a
room door. Library card can be used for entry and reservations can be checked against the library card.
9. Please plant more trees around the library.
10. Please get rid of permit parking. City staff are working from home. There is hardly any traffic to the
city hall.. There is no reason for all those permit parking spots. Please eliminate permit parking in the
parking lot and adjacent curbside.
Thank you for working on community feedback.
Thanks,
Santosh Rao
