Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express our
gratitude for Nikki's (I hope it is her correct name, if not my apologies)
dedication to maintaining the field at Regnart School. Her efforts in weed
removal, hole filling, and addressing issues such as underground squirrels
do not go unnoticed, and we appreciate her hard work.
However, despite Nikki's diligent efforts, it's evident that the condition of
the field remains a concern. Unfortunately, we recently had an incident
where a student was seriously injured due to the uneven surface of the
field (photo attached). While we are fortunate that this has been an
isolated incident thus far, it underscores the urgency of addressing the
field's condition.
I understand that Nikki's work is part of ongoing maintenance efforts, but
we need to explore additional measures to ensure the safety of our
students. I've inquired about plans for more comprehensive improvements
to the field in the past and would like to revisit this discussion. Are there
any plans or strategies in place to address the underlying issues causing
the uneven terrain?
Ensuring a safe and suitable environment for our students to engage in
physical activities is paramount, and we appreciate the city's support in
making these fields available to us. Your attention to this matter is greatly
appreciated.
Best,
Caroline
