The Youth Activity Board was created in 2018 to further engage Cupertino teens and address the growing teen stress epidemic. The Teen Commission is a formal commission with the City of Cupertino comprised of nine resident teens. Background 2. Status: Overall, and some Specific Examples of Park Sites 3. Proposals for Next steps •Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC) met four times in 2021 to develop a strategy for the implementation of the Park Amenities project •Staff has purchased and installed a number of amenities, following that Strategy Background •Installed: 18 hydration stations, 1 bench/picnic table, striping for one set of pickleball courts, 2 outdoor table tennis tables and 1 new large BBQ •More Picnic Tables will be installed: 10 at Memorial, 5 at Wilson, and 5 at Jollyman •More Benches will be installed at Wilson Park Status Status •Survey: most parks have a site map and photos of the amenities Status •PRC Strategy listed in top left •Newly installed amenities have a green circle •Existing Park Amenities have a yellow circle •Park Site Amenities listed in Red Status - Legend •New Community Garden & Basketball Court with added Amenities •New benches coming soon, to the BB Court area •3 Hydration stations were added •Outdoor Table Tennis table added behind the Ceramics studio Highlights Wilson Park •New Tot Lot Play Area with added Amenities •School Age Play Area equipment is ordered •3 Hydration stations were added •Large BBQ and prep table added Highlights Creekside Park •2 Hydration stations were added Highlights Hoover Park •1 Hydration station were added •More Amenities planned with new AIPG project (benches, restrooms, picnic tables…) •Outdoor Table Tennis table was installed •More picnic tables will be installed this year Highlights Jollyman Park •DOLA users have requested Hedge + Fence installation.
